Exxxxxtatic! is a a good adjective to describe my feelings about the new WordPress app for the iPhone. I can now edit my blog while waiting in line at the grocery store, getting my hair done, or waiting for a friend at my local coffee shop. Granted, there are a few issues to be worked out, but there aren’t too many apps out now that I would say don’t need any work at all. Even my beloved Labrynth app has it’s moments.

Apparently, Word doesn’t actually track changes if you deselect the “Track changes while editing” option from the Track Changes Settings panel. It makes sense when you think about it in plain English. Unfortunately for me, I made the outrageous assumption that if I just selected “track changes” I wouldn’t want then be given an option to disable my own ability to actually track changes.
Silly designer.
I guess I should have left my logic at home today.
Sure, I love iPhone app’s as much as the next person… but when can we start developing for the Newton?
I was interviewed yesterday for the Press Democrat in Santa Rosa in an article about small businesses getting involved in iPhone application development. Apparently, they move fast with the publishing! Check it out here: www.pressdemocrat.com
Also great quotes my friend Ryan Joseph of Micromat.

Apple has released a poker game for the app store called, “Texas Hold ‘Em.” Sounds great, right? Yeah, except that it’s got video, and the rest of us developers are not supposed to be able to use video. Since Flash is unavailable, does anyone know how this was done?
Inquiring lemurs would like to know.
Thanks!
Collin has been trying to work around this seemingly unrelated issue since yesterday, and just as his weary heart was about to lose all hope, the answer fell right into his lap. As it turns out, the iPhone is case-sensitive when it comes to the code, but the simulator is not. So, something that was crashing for me when I was testing the app was absolutely not crashing for him in the simulator. Very frustrating. Has anyone else noticed this, or are we bestowing some ultra-valuable info upon you?
Given my chosen profession, you’d think I’d be all for the idea of using nothing but electronic forms of communication like a wiki. You’d think I’d want nothing more than to swear off paper altogether. But to the utter frustration of a few of my friends, and most of my coworkers, I can’t stop myself when it comes to paper. AND, I write with a pencil as well, which makes me the ultimate grown-up third grader… and that’s RAD!
AND, as of Sunday, Apple reported sales of the new iPhone 3g to be at 1 million and counting. That’s better than the first weekend of the original iPhone.
I’d like to go ahead and start taking bets on whether or not they will reach their projected 10 million in sales by the end of the year. And, when Apple beats the 10 million, I’ll be more than happy to accept the winnings from all those who bet against.

Wait no more, my fine friends. The new iPhone 3G is out today!!! Patient fans have been cozying up to concrete sidewalks all night for their chance to gaze upon, and possibly touch, this shiny piece of technological wizardry.
The new iPhone boasts more features than the original along with a significantly reduced price tag. Oh, and did I mention the app store is opening today as well. With all this hyperbuzz going on, it’s a wonder our tiny brains don’t explode.
